Milica Rakonjac was born in 1970 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated in 1997, and got her Master’s degree in 2000 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, at the painting department in the class of Professor Momčilo Antonović;
Since 2002, she has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia (ULUS);
In the field of applied arts, she realised art equipment and the design of ninety-seven editions in cooperation with Belgrade publishing houses: Rad, Nolit, CLIO, Fedon, and the Institute for Textbooks;
Awards for series of drawings: the October Award of the City of Belgrade and the Petar and Vera Lubarda Award, awarded by the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade;
From 2000 to 2024, she was actively engaged in pedagogical work at all levels of art education. In 2018, she received the Award for long-term improvement of art education, awarded by the Association of Art Teachers of Serbia and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.
Exhibited at fifteen independent and forty-three collective exhibitions;
She is currently in the status of an independent artist.
1997 Hired as an associate of the Serbian Ministry of Education, Department of Pre-school and Primary School Education, work of the journal Teaching and Education Coordinators Dr. Mirjana Markovic and Dr. Zdravko Milinkovic
1999-2001 Hired as the head of graphic studio and as an art editor in Publishing house Rad in Belgrade
2001 Hired as a teacher of drawing and painting at the School of Secondary Education School Crafts – Tehnoart in Belgrade
2002 Became member of ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia)
2003 Engaged as a consultant-trainer for specialist courses at the University of Art in Belgrade, field of aesthetics ;course facilitator Dr. Divna Vuksanović
2003 Created complete scenography for dance performance of Assemble Kolo, directed by Vladimir Lazic, Great scene Sava Center, Belgrade
